Have I been making connections with the students I would say yes I have. But I wont lie the first two weeks I wasn't making any connections because I nervous and afraid that this kids wont accept me as a leader. So when the three week came around I finally had the nerve to just go in and do it so during a game that we were playing called telephone pictionary I decided to just have fun with it, it took a little bit to explain but after a bit it got fun and I really connected with the kids and I believe that they have accepted me and I hope to get deeper with the kids as time goes on and I believe God will help me greatly as I go on with these kids.
I haven't really got a chance to connect with the youth leaders yet because I have had time to talk with them because we leave or they leave so I feel like I should really make an Effort to connect with them. I believe if I connect with the leaders I will have a better understand the program don't get me wrong we are on the good pages but I don't know them and I don't know what their vision or plan is for me or the year. but as time goes on I believe that I will learn that goal and help out that church a lot.

My participation in ministry
Well my participation in ministry is helping out with
the church that I been a signed to and helping out with retreats here
at camp Qwanoes. During this course I been a singed to New
Life church with three other students and our goal at
the church is to serve at the youth group on Friday nights and
talking with the leaders there it sounds like we might lead some youth nights
which sounds awesome cant wait. This youth nights have theme its
really cool and I also help out with the kids zone
on Sunday morning after the church service. Kids zone
is where the church will go out to the nature reserve side New
Life and helping kids by putting on puppet shows and teaching
them different skills.
New Life is a
great church the people there are great the moment we meet them they told
us that we are in their church family they are going to be there if we help
with the church ministry that sounds so welcoming I feel like in I'm a part of
the family. They have three pastors because they have two Sunday
services and I met two of the three Shane and Mark and heard them both speak
they are great speakers with a powerful message to the church. they love
helping out in the community like having the kids zone and doing garage sale so
makes the church a big help in the community.
Here at Qwanoes I
help with the retreats that they hold on the weekends all the students and I
got a schedule and we each do a full weekend so we are counsellors, activity leaders,
maintenance or kitchen staff. We also do two part weekends so we help out where
and when we are put. one of the things we help with is challenge course which
is rock climbing, zip line, skyscraper and high lines and we all went through a course that teaches us how to
be a belayer in the challenge course so we are surified those are the
things I do.
Camp Qwanoes a light house for Gods ministry here in B.C it
provides a great chance for kids to come and hear Gods word and get the great
camp experience. It has a lot of stuff like the waterfront, the sports field,
club coco so your never bored. So helping out here at the camp is really going
to help me grow in camp ministry it gives me the tools and experience so I can
go and use it where ever God calls me after this program. So that is the ministry
I'm doing here in the Kaleo program. Jonathan Sachro
Hey everyone who supported me and is praying for me I would like to say thank you for your help and your prayers. here is a update of my time here in the Kaleo program, the first week of the program us orientation so they showed the 21 other students in the program and I camp Qwanoes which is a great place to be for 8 months. we had church orientation so what church we go to (we got spit up into different churches in groups of three) and how we were going to serve at these churches plus I we got to meet the pastors of the different churches. Then we had academic orientation where we learned what classes we doing this year and we got if on our profs.
